What Belovi collects
Belovi may store your Apple account identifier and email address, first name, connection to your partner, preferences, optional daily check-ins, room decorations, Home progress, accepted pet appearance, pictures retained from an earlier beta, moments you share, game choices, plans, feedback, and answers you submit to shared conversations.
Waitlist email
If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address with our email provider, Resend, so we can send you a confirmation and, later, an invitation. We use it for nothing else. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove your address at any time by writing to hello@belovi.app.
Location
When you ask Belovi to find nearby places, your precise location is used for that request and is not stored. Belovi may store a short-lived, coarse area fingerprint so an immediate retry can reuse a result without spending another pick. You can enter a neighborhood, city, or ZIP code instead of sharing device location.
How information is used
We use your information only to operate Belovi: authenticate you, connect the two of you, personalize suggestions, save shared plans and conversations, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.
Who processes information
Belovi relies on Apple for sign-in and optional push delivery, Supabase for authentication and protected data storage, Google Places for nearby place information, and Resend for waitlist email. These providers process limited information needed to perform those services under their own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing between partners
Shared results, plans, and revealed conversations are visible to both members of a couple. Individual preference answers, unrevealed conversation answers, and private feedback remain protected according to the feature’s stated behavior.
Calendars and surprise dates
If you connect selected iPhone calendars, Belovi reads events on your device and shares only busy time intervals for the next fourteen days with your partner. Event names, locations, notes, attendees, identifiers, and calendar names are not uploaded. Google calendars can participate when you have added them to iPhone Calendar. Belovi refreshes while open; it does not continuously sync in the background.
Shared availability expires twenty-four hours after a successful sync and is no longer shown as current. A new sync replaces the previous intervals, and expired intervals are cleared on the next availability read. You can stop sharing in Plans; if offline, removal is retried when you reconnect, and the previous snapshot expires in the meantime. Account or couple deletion removes these snapshots.
For a surprise date, only the planner can see its hidden title, place and note until either partner explicitly reveals it. Both partners can see its time, duration, dress guidance and hint. Reveal cannot be undone. Adding an unrevealed surprise to a device calendar exports only a generic title and its scheduled time; you choose whether to save it.
Daily context, games and your shared room
Optional energy, time and mood answers help choose activity ideas for both of you. Your raw answers and individual activity ratings remain private. Daily answers stop affecting suggestions at the next midnight in your selected device time zone and are cleared when you next read them; you can also clear them yourself. Activity ratings remain until changed or deleted with your account or couple.
For activity ideas, Belovi remembers the latest time each idea was suggested to you and any feedback you explicitly save. These records stay private from your partner. Feedback helps rank future suggestions and has less weight over time. “Not today” hides an idea from your suggestions until your next local midnight without changing your lasting preference. You can clear one idea’s feedback or reset all your idea history from the activity screen. Account or couple deletion removes these records. Surprise browsing history is never shared with your partner.
Your room decorations, Home progress, pet name and accepted game-pet look are shared with your partner. Choosing or taking a pet photo keeps it on your iPhone until you tap Generate my pet. That action sends a resized, metadata-free copy to OpenAI to create a new game illustration. Belovi does not persist the source photo. OpenAI processes the photo under its API data policies; provider retention may apply. Only the illustration you approve and save is stored for your shared room. You can replace it or return to the standard pet. We store a limited daily generation counter to prevent abuse and control costs. Pictures saved with an earlier beta remain in pet details, where either partner can remove them. Pass-the-phone Guess my pick answers stay in memory for that round and are not saved as preferences.
Moments are photos you take inside Belovi to share with your partner. Each photo is resized on your iPhone and stripped of location, camera and time metadata before it is sent, then stored privately in Belovi’s storage where only the two of you can load it. The look you choose and any caption are stored with it. Nobody else can see a moment, there is no feed, and moments are never used for advertising or to infer anything about you. You can take back any moment you shared, which removes it from both phones. All moments are deleted with the couple. Camera access is requested only when you open the camera in Moments and is used for nothing else.
Word together saves the puzzle identifier and its completion or reveal status to verify Home XP. Submitted puzzle answers are checked but not stored. Home progress records the qualifying activity and award day; private answer contents never affect XP. Daily Guess my answer stores each person’s answer and guess privately until both submit, then shares both within the couple. These game answers are not used to infer preferences or relationship scores. Saved rounds remain until the couple is deleted. Passing-the-phone guesses stay on that phone. A game choice becomes a private preference only when you explicitly save it. Date-building choices become a shared plan only after you save the plan. Shared room content and progress are removed when your couple is deleted.
Notifications
Push notifications are not enabled in this beta. Belovi does not register this build for Apple push notifications.
Retention and deletion
Belovi keeps information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account inside the app from Us → Account settings → Delete account. Deletion also removes the couple’s shared Belovi history and disconnects the other member so private relationship data is not left behind.
Security and children
We use access controls and encryption provided by our platform partners, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Belovi is not directed to children under 13.
